The Council of Ministers has approved at the proposal of the head of Finance Eric Jover the tender for the supply of security material by the agents of the Customs Corps. The tender aims to strengthen the security of customs to ensure the proper conduct of their duties as well as to comply with a historic claim of the body.These elements make it necessary to increase the level of security of the Customs personnel who provide their services at the border points so that the agents can carry out all the tasks entrusted to them with the appropriate material in the workplace. Therefore the Department of Taxes and Borders therefore considers it necessary to provide the Customs Corps with security equipment such as firearms and their corresponding accessories.The form of tender is a national open procedure competition and an ordinary contracting method. Interested companies can submit their bids until March 10 2021 to the Government Procedures Service.
