📋 Tender Overview

The Council of Ministers has awarded the renovation of the two buildings for a total amount of 4 million and an execution period of 12 months
The Government continues to advance in the implementation of the public housing stock intended for affordable rental. The Council of Ministers, at the proposal of the Minister of Territory and Urban Planning, Raul Ferre, has awarded the renovation work of two buildings located on the road to Coll dOrdino, 29 and 31, respectively, to be used for 48 regulated rental homes. Specifically, there will be 29 one-bedroom apartments with surfaces ranging from 39 to 79 m2, 14 two-bedroom apartments with surfaces between 68 and 94 m2, and 5 studios of 34m2 on average. The execution period of the works on the buildings will be 12 months.

Going into detail, the adaptation of the Arbella building block A, located on the Coll dOrdino road, 29, will be carried out by the construction company Edicom at a cost of 1,774,329.89 euros. While the reform of block B, adjacent to the previous one and located at number 31, has been awarded to the company Cevalls for an amount of 2,232,501.67 euros. With these two awards, the Government has already initiated almost all of the reforms that must be promoted in public buildings before they can be made available to citizens, awards that have been carried out in full in the last year, a fact that indicates the Governments determined action to address the housing situation in the country. During 2025, they will submit to a public tender and award the works for the adaptation of the latest projects incorporated into the public park: the Cedre building in Santa Coloma, ceded by the comu of Andorra la Vella last November, and the second building in Borda Nova in the capital, next to the building that is already crowned, the drafting work for which was awarded in August.

Adaptation of the new Catalan Centre in the old Hotel Hermus in Encamp
The Government has also awarded the works for the adaptation of the new Catalan Centre on the ground floor of the old Hotel Hermus, one of the buildings in the public park that is being renovated at 9 Rene Baluard Street in Encamp, to be used for affordable rental housing. Once the works are completed, the Catalan Centre in Encamp, which is currently located in the old Hotel Rosaleda, headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, will move to this new location. The works will be carried out by the same company in charge of the buildings renovation work, Progec, through a contract extension of 344,250 euros and an execution period of three months.
