Sowing Life, Mexico Schools and Young People Building the Future consolidated regional results

The Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID) held the twenty-fourth ordinary session of its Advisory Council, in compliance with the International Development Cooperation Law.
Its executive director, Alejandra Del Moral Vela, called to continue strengthening this consultative mechanism, to maintain permanent dialogue and to continue building international cooperation that responds to the challenges of our time.
This Advisory Council represents the meeting between technical experience, academic vision, the innovation of civil society, the work of local governments, the talent of our public institutions and the support of multilateral organizations, he said.
In accordance with article 19, fifteenth section, AMEXCID presented its 2025 Annual Work Report, previously shared with the members of the Council, representatives of the agencies of the Federal Public Administration.
The executive director highlighted that history shows that great transformations are not built in isolation, but rather through unity and cooperation, in line with the vision of the president of Mexico.
During 2025, AMEXCID integrated 852 cooperation topics reported by 115 representations, which made it possible to strengthen the systematization, efficiency and operational scope of cooperation work.
Mexico registered 203 topics as a provider country and received 135 as a recipient country, with education being the area with the highest concentration of initiatives.
More than 150 projects advanced in human mobility, agriculture, science, social innovation, climate change and education, consolidating technical transfer and institutional strengthening in the region.
156 training actions and 63 institutional strengthening were carried out, benefiting students, specialists, local authorities and public entities in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Agency formalized 90 legal instruments that provide continuity and certainty to bilateral, regional and multilateral cooperation, favoring long-term alliances.
Dignity must be transformed into public policy, because our work touches lives and builds real opportunities, said the executive director when referring to the humanistic sense of Mexican cooperation.
Programs such as Sembrando Vida, Jovenes Construyendo el Futuro and Escuelas Mexico consolidated measurable results, promoting community development, youth employability, educational infrastructure and teacher training in Central America and the Caribbean.
AMEXCID reaffirmed its commitment to multilateralism through its participation in the construction of the UN-Mexico Cooperation Framework 2026-2031, a roadmap aligned with national priorities, sustainability and territorial development.
