The workshop was attended by comrades: Lieutenant General Vu Ngoc Thiem, Head of the Government Cipher Committee; Associate Professor. Dr. Le Hai Binh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and representatives of agencies and units of the Ministry of Public Security and Command 86; leaders of academies, universities, research institutes...AI - Breakthrough solutions for new cryptographic systems. In his opening speech at the conference, Lieutenant General Vu Ngoc Thiem, Head of the Government Cipher Committee, sounded the alarm bell with telling numbers from the 2025 Cyber Security Report of the National Cyber Security Association with nearly 552,000 cyber attacks targeting domestic information systems, in which the actual loss rate skyrocketed from 46.15% to 52.3%. Attacks are becoming more sophisticated and targeted, partly due to the power of artificial intelligence, which makes AI a double-edged sword - both the most powerful defense shield and the most dangerous destructive weapon if it falls into the wrong hands. Faced with that reality, the leader of the Government Cipher Committee poses an urgent need to create an AI development strategy that is both safe and reliable, coupled with perfecting the institutional framework, standardizing techniques and fostering talent - the core foundation for Vietnam to not only stand firm against threats but also be self-sufficient in core technology in the digital era. Raising the issue in the cryptographic conversion revolution taking place globally, Lieutenant General Vu Ngoc Thiem cited the Institute of Standards. and US Technology (NIST) have officially announced a trio of post-quantum cryptographic standards from August 2024 - a milestone that forces countries to replace their entire current cryptographic infrastructure. In that context, artificial intelligence is identified as a breakthrough solution to research, test and operate new cryptographic systems effectively. In that spirit, the Project to develop a quantum-resistant cryptographic system for the period 2026-2035 has been approved by the Prime Minister, with a focus on integrating AI into the development process - helping to shorten time, optimize algorithms and enhance the ability to respond to threats coming from AI and quantum computers. This is a proactive and methodical step, demonstrating the desire to not let Vietnam miss a beat in the global technology race. Download Prof. PhD. Emphasizing the significance of the Conference in connecting the scientific community, creating a bridge between academic research and practical applications, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy expressed her hope that the event will continue to be maintained and developed, becoming a prestigious annual scientific forum, contributing to promoting research and application of AI in the field of cryptography and information security. Comprehensive approach, ensuring information security in the AI era. With a perspective from political science and national governance, Associate Professor, PhD. Le Hai Binh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics emphasized that in the era of artificial intelligence, information security is not only protecting systems and data, but also protecting the integrity of the information space, protecting social trust and protecting the human ability to recognize truth and falsehood. Associate Professor, PhD. Le Hai Binh explained that when artificial AI can produce fake information with such sophistication that it is difficult to distinguish, the risk lies not only in cyber attacks, but also in the erosion of public trust and the manipulation of social perception - a non-traditional threat but can have even deeper consequences than a technical attack. At the Conference, Dr. Tran Anh Tu, Deputy Director of the Department of Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence (Ministry of Science and Technology) presented a report on national policy and strategic orientation on AI, focusing on major directions in the development and application of artificial intelligence and its role.of AI for innovation, digital transformation and strategic technologies. Associate Professor, PhD.
