📋 Tender Overview
It is planned to complete the land delivery processes for the airports of Arequipa, Tacna and Trujillo during the first half of 2026.Within the framework of its policy to strengthen the national airport infrastructure, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC) achieved, at the end of fiscal year 2025, a historic budget execution of S/ 185.4 million in land acquisition for 12 airport projects. These are located in Arequipa, Tacna, Trujillo, Juliaca, Ayacucho, Jauja, Talara, Piura, Pucallpa, Tarapoto, Caballococha and Soplin Vargas.
Of the total, S/ 114.8 million were allocated to acquire private properties. Likewise, in a complementary manner, an approximate S/ 70.6 million was recorded in interstate transfers (acquisition of State real estate). The amount was calculated based on appraisals carried out by the National Superintendence of State Assets (SBN) and the Directorate of Property Availability (DDP).
It should be noted that during 2024 the budget execution for the acquisition of land destined for airport projects totaled S/ 122.5 million.
The important financial execution of 2025 allowed decisive progress in the liberation and physical-legal sanitation of 335 properties located in various regions of the country. In this way, the established schedules were met to facilitate the timely start of large investment projects.
The MTCs Property Availability Directorate (DDP) focused its management on guaranteeing that the main airport projects have the technical and legal security, essential for their expansion and modernization. Thanks to this articulated work, the airports of Arequipa, Tacna and Trujillo plan to complete their property delivery processes during the first half of 2026, leaving them ready to advance towards new phases of operational improvement.
During 2025, property management showed intense and decentralized activity. In the southern zone, the Juliaca Airport led the management with 77 properties released; followed by Ayacucho, with 45. In the Central and Northern zones, 26 properties were liberated in Jauja, completing the transfer of the air part to ensure its operations. In addition, 22 properties in Talara and 18 in Piura were secured. And in border integration zones, 21 properties were liberated in Pucallpa, 21 in Tarapoto, 20 in Caballococha and 25 in Soplin Vargas.
The dynamism of sustained investment in these 12 airports ensures a growth horizon for 2026. For the second semester, the projects in Iquitos, Pucallpa, Soplin Vargas and Caballococha will begin their construction development stages.
With these actions, the MTC DDP not only modernizes services, but also increases the competitiveness of air transport and increases the countrys operational capacity, directly benefiting users.
