Competition Name: Landfill Final Cover and Drainage Competition Type: ITT Agreement Type: NWPTA Public Opening: Yes Synopsis: WORK CONSISTS OF: Final cover is needed on the northwest corner of the landfill. The area to be covered is approximately 37,875 m². A drainage berm is also needed to separate run-off water that drains off the landfill from run-on water that drains onto the landfill. The drainage berm is approximately 590m long and runs parallel to the waste mound along the landfill’s west perimeter. The work under this contract is to place the final cover and construct the drainage berm. Additional Information: STARTING DATE: August 8, 2017 COMPLETION DATE: October 13, 2017 A tender contained in a sealed envelope and plainly marked Tender No. 17-0066 will be received up to 2:00 p.m. Saskatchewan Time, Thursday, July 27, 2017. An optional meeting for all interested bidders will be held at the City of Saskatoon Landfill Gas Facility located at 119 Power Road in Saskatoon, on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 1:00 pm Saskatchewan time. Questions pertaining to this contract will be answered at this meeting and issued via addenda if necessary. The Landfill Gas Facility is located at the landfill; at the first stop sign when entering site, turn left and the facility is immediately to your right. Attendees to the Site Meeting will require the following personal protective equipment to visit the work area: - Hard Hat - CSA Approved Safety Footwear - High Visibility Jacket/Vest (Class 2 Div 1 Minimum) The standard specifications and drawings required for this contract and referenced within the Contract Index are available on the City of Saskatoon’s Internet web site at http://www.saskatoon.ca (Business & Development/Development Regulations/ Specifications & Standards /Specifications). It shall be the responsibility of each bidder to obtain the required specifications and/or drawings from the web site and consider such prior to submitting a bid. To ensure consideration, all tenders shall be accompanied by the following: A bid deposit by Bid Bond for ten (10) percent of the gross tender amount. A Consent of Surety to furnish a Contract Performance Bond and Labour and Materials Bond each for fifty (50) percent of the gross tender amount.
