Competition Name: Food Services - Correctional and Young Offender Facilities Competition Type: RFP Agreement Type: Agreement on Internal Trade Public Opening: No Synopsis: This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued on behalf of the Government of Saskatchewan, Ministry of Justice, Corrections and Policing (Ministry) as an invitation to submit non-binding offers for the provision of the Food Services as specified in the RFP document and related attachments. The Ministry is committed to providing a safe, secure, efficient, effective and accountable correctional system and to this end, seeks to engage the expertise of Suppliers to assist in delivering food services. The Ministry has identified the following requirements for the successful Supplier: Full management and operations of all elements of food services in accordance with standards and performance based requirements agreed to by the parties; Adherence to the pricing schedule as agreed to by the parties; Use and instruction of as well as provision of training to inmate labour as designated by the Ministry; Provision of uninterrupted supply of food service through the successful Supplier’s normal procedures and/or contingency plans; Cooperation with the Ministry in all security matters and recognition that the Ministry’s decisions regarding such security matters take precedence over the provision of food service; and Assistance with capital upgrades and /or equipment replacements as agreed to by the parties. The purpose of the RFP is to identify those suppliers capable of meeting the requirements through the use of cost effective operational and management techniques, reflecting best practices in the food service industry. Suppliers are encouraged to bid on the full provision of Service at each of the facilities included in this RFP. Strong preference will be given to Suppliers interested in bidding the entire scope.
