Competition Name: Field Support Services for the Ministry of Education Student Data Competition Type: ACA Agreement Type: Not Applicable Public Opening: No Synopsis: It is the intention of the Government of Saskatchewan, Ministry of Education to enter into an agreement with C. Fleury Consulting from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to provide consulting, resources and expertise relating to the maintenance, enhancement and operation of the Student Data System (SDS) from April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015 (optional 1 year extension). The Ministry of Education implemented the SDS in 2004 and C. Fleury Consulting has been involved in consulting, resource support, implementation of enhancements and updates and as such is intimately familiar with the highly customized environment utilized by the Ministry of Education and the school sector. The position requires in-depth knowledge of the various software packages being used by schools/school divisions to support the XML data transfer process between vendor packages and the SDS, as well as SDS business rules at the local and provincial levels to ensure compliance with data standards. Service support to the field and to respective Student Information System vendors with this level of expertise is critical for the student tracking model to be fully realized.
