Contract awarded for supplement to contract regarding dwdm system for the purpose of expanding the dwdm system in connection with the supply of dwdm system, cf. reference 324779-2020, a contract was signed between banedanmark and eci telecom ltd on the establishment of a dwdm system, as well as subsequent support and maintenance. the contract was concluded in accordance with the rules of directive 2014/25/eu (supply business directive) with executive order number 605598-2020. baned denmark's dwdm system was originally designed to primarily serve as a carrier service for the basic data network in banedanmark's operational it. technological development has meant that several adjacent networks need to use the dwdm system. in addition, the requirements of the adjacent networks have changed since the design and installation of the dwdm system, and design changes have been made in both core and access networks, which places additional requirements on the dwdm system. as a result, it has been necessary to change dimensioning and make a capacity extension of the dwdm system, including to ensure the transmission speed and redundancy in the system. the dimensioning and capacity extension of the dwdm system consists of supplementary goods deliveries from the existing supplier. these are necessary to ensure the functionality and purpose of the dwdm system, in particular that it must be the base of the entire banedanmark signal infrastructure, as well as to ensure the planned life of the system. the dimensional change and capacity extension consists of the following: • expansion with 7 additional basic nodes to the existing 31, to ensure sufficient capacity and redundancy • supplementary equipment to ensure redundancy and that the transmission speed in the existing backbone can be expanded from 10 gb/s to 100 gb/s • additional spare parts uses customized communication protocols, including proprietary software and source codes, and where there is a requirement for interoperability between the system's hardware components as well as software components. it is therefore only the existing supplier who can supply the necessary supplementary goods for the extension of the dwdm system. against this background, banedanmark has entered into a supplement to the existing contract, to acquire the supplementary goods deliveries from the existing supplier on the basis of the supply business directive art. 89, paragraph. 1 (b) to ensure transparency of the change of contract, published banedanmark an order for voluntary prior transparency, cf. cf. notice number 728229-2024. the change results in an increase in the contract sum totaling dkk 8,660,450. value of the result: winner selection date : date of conclusion of the contract : estimated value excluding vat :.supplement to contract regarding dwdm system for the purpose of expanding the dwdm system
