Contract awarded for replacement of AI software for HPO-based filtering of DNA variants One of the basic tasks of the Center for Medical Genetics (CMG) is to detect causal DNA variants that underlie hereditary conditions. The Center for Medical Genetics (abbreviated CMG) of the University Hospital Antwerp has decided to replace the existing artificial intelligence software package for HPO-based filtering of DNA variants. The goal of the artificial intelligence (AI) based software is to: • take into account the phenotypic characteristics of patients in the analysis; and • quickly provide a genetic diagnosis to the patient.
