Contract awarded for Procurement of onboard computers as well as a corresponding radio and audio management system as partial services of the overall project mikt (modernization of information and communication technologies) lot-0001, title: procurement of onboard computers as well as a corresponding radio and audio management system as partial services of the overall project mikt (modernization of information and communication technologies), description: 1. vehicle-side components and functions as part of the sub-project, the onboard computers of 416 trains and buses used in regular service, as well as the onboard computers of 16 commercial, special, and historical vehicles, are to be replaced. in addition to the vehicle equipment, the delivery of 15 vehicle-type-specific vehicle replicas for testing in the itcs laboratories of dvb and by the control system manufacturer, as well as 26 devices as operational reserves, is required. furthermore, dvb reserves the option, in the course of fleet changes, to equip up to 50 additional vehicles and to double the operational reserve with another 26 devices. 2. modernization of the radio system the radio system, which manages voice and data communication between the control center, public transport vehicles, and dispatchers, must undergo a fundamental modernization in this sub-project. on the one hand, the radio system no longer meets the requirements of increasing traffic networking with the use of reasonable financial resources. on the other hand, the components of the tetra radio system have been discontinued. against this background, this sub-project aims to make public mobile communication (plmn) usable for both voice and data radio connections and, if necessary, to modernize the operational radio network. two possible implementation variants have already been identified (see chapter 3 of the task description). in the dialogue phase, further variants can also be developed. ensuring compliance with legal requirements for the radio system for use in tram operations according to bostrab receives special attention. 3. modernization of the audio management system the goal for voice communication in the control center is to establish a voip-based communication solution (audio management system) that integrates the voice services radio, telephony, and voice recording into one system and provides the control center dispatchers with a unified user interface. the user interface is to be implemented both as hardware and as a software client. 4. service phase after the overall acceptance (expected by no later than september 30, 2028), the contractor must ensure the long-term operational capability and reliability of the entire system over a period of ten years through regular maintenance, timely repairs, and continuous system updates. a two-time option for extending the service phase by two years each is provided. estimated value excluding vat: 13799895.00 eur.Procurement of onboard computers as well as a corresponding radio and audio management system as partial services of the overall project mikt (modernization of information and communication technologies)
